How To Capture Aerial Photos and Videos Without A Drone Or FAA Approval

While I’m not one to promote products until I’ve had a chance to go hands on and put it through the paces, this Kickstarter product caught my attention. Here’s the promo video:

The AER secures a GoPro Hero 3+, 4 or 4 camera in it’s nose and protects it from the elements and promises to be waterproof. Simply turn on the camera, set the desired mode and fling it in the air.

And yes, I ordered one and, if it ships on time, it should arrive in February. The Kickstarter price at the time of this posting is $55 plus shipping. To the USA the total charge is $71 and includes a carrying bag. It’s a safe bet I’ll be posting a follow up review when it arrives.
